Girls' Room

Since we have a new baby and Lydia has been potty training we figured it was time to get her in Arlee's room. Arlee had been wanting to share a room with her like they use to. Of course, we needed to make that happen too. We didn't want to give up the play room. That is a guest room when we have company after all. So it was time to make the girls room up so they could share. There was a great deal at Shopko for their beds. We got those after deciding that bunk beds were not for us; at least not right now.

We didn't have room for their dressers so we got these green
bins from Target to help with storage. I am glad that the
closet organizer was already in place. The bins fit so nicely.

They are still hidden with curtains, but The work nicely in the room still.

The bed that is closest to the door is Lydia's. We have bed
rails to keep her from falling off. Sometimes she manages
anyway.

We have storage under their beds too.

We got the book shelves from Ikea and the totes from Target. To help keep
them from playing with each other we got a video monitor on Black Friday
it also lets you talk to them and they can talk back if they dare! Just kidding.

Happy Birthday Lil' Miss!

You are now 2 years old! (12/5/13)

What a joy you are!

You are strong willed.

You have your own ideas.

You weigh about 24 lbs.

You kiss my stomach and hug baby boo like your sister, Arlee.

You love coats, pink, yellow, blue, purple, cookies,
suckers, puppies, sucking your thumb (I hate it), blankets
and saying, "no help you" when you want to do something
by yourself, which is often.

You love sticking out your tongue and making funny faces
you especially like asking like a puppy with Arlee.

You play really well with Arlee, but when you can't
communicate your wants and wishes.... there is a fit throwing
like no other. We just have to let you work it out on your own
otherwise, it gets worse. When you are mad at one thing, you
might as well be mad at everything.

You are talking in sentences. Sometimes Arlee translates
for us. Or just tells us what you want with out you saying
a word. Arlee loves her little sister (you) so much.

You are our little princess. Well one of the almost 3.
We love you. Even the times when you are being a "baby".
You have some spunk. People love to watch you run. You
are practically skipping, but only on your tippy toes.
You take about 20 steps for the 10 steps needed. I have a
feeling you will love wearing high heals; if you keep it up.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Family Pictures

We used this one on the Christmas card.

Arlee would have put me on the coolest mom list if I
would have put this on the card, but it is not going to
happen this time. HAHA!

This one... Cracks me up. Arlee always gets Hans to role
play with her. This one they were being
THE INCREDIBLES

For some reason Lydia hates getting her picture taken
lately... I got only one and she was done.

Arlee on the other hand likes them taken as long as she
can make some crazy faces. Most of the time that is all
that I get. I bribed her on these ones. Can you tell?

We bribed Lydia as well. Suckers usually work great for
her. Thank goodness.

Thanksgiving

We had friends over to our house this year for Thanksgiving. It was a huge success. We enjoyed one another and especially the delicious food.

Adult and kids table

We made delicious turkey

Of course the rolls that my mother in law makes are to die for. I got the
recipe from her and they have always been requested. They are so good!
