Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

We were by ourselves this year for Christmas. In years past we had been invited to friend's family parties. I made Ham, Potatoes, gravy, rolls, steamed carrots and pie.

Christmas morning was a hit!

Arlee love Merida! She was Merida for Halloween and now that she has
a bow and a few arrows she would like to be her again.  

Sophia the First is another favorite princess. She is one that I do not find
annoying.

She was stoked to get a new coat. I always wait for Black Friday to buy
them. They are so cheap at Old Navy!

This one made me cry. (pregnant remember) I got a case of Stephens Hazelnut
hot chocolate. I have been looking for about a year with no luck. Hans found
it on Amazon. I am one lucky girl. 

Lydia gave Arlee a puzzle

Arlee gave Lydia a mermaid. They were so cute picking out presents for
each other this year. Arlee wanted to give her the mermaid so they could
play mermaids in the bath together. (Arlee had one already)

I got a heated mattress pad. Love it. It has been helping me not be so sore
either.

Shop Vac Anyone? 

It does all sorts of cool tricks. Hans has loved using it.

Arlee has been praying for snow. Well it has not been in the cards this year
I guess. So Santa and our Elf, Chief put their heads together and made it
snow for Arlee inside this year. 

We had a nice snow ball fight. It was funny to listen to the girls when they
came down Christmas morning. "What the heck?"-Arlee "Hahahaha Look,
uh-oh!"-Lydia

Santa knows Arlee loves princesses. She said, "What? I
already have a Merida dress! What a robe? I have always wanted a robe. Mom we can be twins!"

Santa knows Lydia loves baby dolls. Also that she is
soon to be a big sister. What a great idea. "Baby,
Mommy, Baby, Dadda, Baby! Ar-eeee, Look baby!"

Chief and Santa ate their cookies and milk.

There is also snow on the tree 

and on the fireplace decorations.

Happy Birthday Hans Fry! 12/20/13

Hans turned 31 years old!

The girls loved helping him celebrate his special day!

And blowing out the candles (don't you love Arlee's gloves. She does too
and she wears them all the time. 

We took the girls to the Polar Express in Hood River, Oregon. I thought it
was a weird way to celebrate Hans' birthday, but he was really excited to do
something fun with the girls. 

And they loved it.

They got tickets which the conductor came around and hole
punched (only once though. He didn't come around
a couple times like the movie.)

By this point (half way through) Lydia was all over the place. She was up
and down and sideways when she lost her footing. All in good fun though.

Santa came around and listened to what the kids wanted. He gave them a
bell and Arlee was so pleased we could all hear it. All of us except for the
"hobo" living on the train. Arlee was shocked when he couldn't hear it. He
did not believe!

After the ride was over we got off and went to our hotel. We got pizza (no
other places in town really) Then we went to DQ and got a candy cane
blizzard.  We had a nice chat with people eating there. They had a play area
so we were there for a bit. After our ice cream was gone we headed back to
the hotel and jumped into the pool. It was a great day. I mostly manned the
pool deck. The water was freezing to me and my swimsuit was more on the
snug side since I have a baby bump then. Arlee jumped off into the pool all by
herself. Another testament to me that she is getting older and more daring.
Lydia though was now a little more hesitant. Hans kept getting water on her.
When the girls would get cold we would go take a quick dip in the hot tub.
In the morning we woke up, ate breakfast and headed back to Yakima.
We had a great trip and it was a good thing to do on Hans' birthday.

Baby Bump Pictures

29 weeks sitting down at a house I clean. She was moving all over the place
so I thought I would try an action shot... looks the same as the others right?
HAhahaha. I am so funny! ;)

30 weeks

31 weeks 5 days
Being pregnant is a balancing act!  After my delicious hot chocolate I took
an hour nap and then could not sleep when bed time rolled around, but hey I
felt refreshed when I woke up from the nap. That is all that matters, right?

Ward Christmas Party

I could not believe it. Arlee willingly got up and waited
in line with the rest of the kids. She sat on Santa's lap
with out a fuss from me or her. She got a candy cane,
told him what she would like for Christmas and hurried
and got off. She even let me take two pictures. 

This is when you know your baby is growing up. Not only
can she do a lot of stuff herself, but she even overcomes
her fears of the crazy man in the red suit who brings her
presents every year!

Lydia didn't want to sit on Santa so Arlee was pretending
to be Santa. Maybe it is the thought of Santa that scares
her, because she didn't want to sit on Arlee Santa either. :)

Girls' Room

Since we have a new baby and Lydia has been potty training we figured it was time to get her in Arlee's room. Arlee had been wanting to share a room with her like they use to. Of course, we needed to make that happen too. We didn't want to give up the play room. That is a guest room when we have company after all. So it was time to make the girls room up so they could share. There was a great deal at Shopko for their beds. We got those after deciding that bunk beds were not for us; at least not right now.

We didn't have room for their dressers so we got these green
bins from Target to help with storage. I am glad that the
closet organizer was already in place. The bins fit so nicely. 

They are still hidden with curtains, but The work nicely in the room still.

The bed that is closest to the door is Lydia's. We have bed
rails to keep her from falling off. Sometimes she manages
anyway. 

We have storage under their beds too.

We got the book shelves from Ikea and the totes from Target. To help keep
them from playing with each other we got a video monitor on Black Friday
it also lets you talk to them and they can talk back if they dare! Just kidding.
