We have officially decided to name our little girl Arlee Nichole Hoge.
Just so you all know we went to the mall on November 17th and found out that she is for sure a girl. If anyone that you know of wants some certainty as to what they are having have them go to Fetal Photos at the South Towne Mall. There is a guy that does it and he is a OBGYN in Europe. He was really nice and spent a lot of time with you. If he is not able to tell what you are having than you can go back for free another day or walk the mall to see if your baby moves. Just knowing that I would find out for sure was the thing that made me pay the extra money to do it. We didn't do the 3D imaging that was a lot more expensive and I already had an ultrasound video.
Hans and I were able to see Arlee again and just fall more in love with her. The first time that we went and got the ultrasound she was sleeping. We were able to see her yawn and that was sooooo cute. It really made me smile. The second time she was awake and we are able to see her sucking her thumb. You could see her jaw move while she was sucking and also see her throat swallow. During the second one she kicked me and I was able to feel it. Now when she kicks me I can just picture how she is laying and it makes me smile.
Yesterday when I was at work Arlee kicked me about five times in the same spot and I put my hand on the side of my stomach and pushed in just enough to feel her really well. While my hand was there you could see my hand move out when she would kick. For now that is my way of seeing where she is kicking and feeling it at the same time. When she is bigger I will just be able to look at my stomach and see her move. She is too small right now for that.

Boy or Girl?

We are going to be having a girl. Hans and I went to find out on the 11th of November. The problem was that her legs were crossed so they had a 90% certainty that she was a girl. They tried moving her which she still didn't do anything. I tried jumping up and down and that still didn't work. We left with a "We think its a girl". Hans and I were a little bumbed when they couldn't tell us for sure. We thought about going to the mall where they have the 3D ultrasounds, but we had to go and get the dinner on the stove. We were having our parents come over so they could all find out at the same time. We had them watch the ultrasound and see if they could tell. No one, not to our surprise could tell. I told them that we are having a girl. My mom's eyes started to tear up and I thought she was going to cry. She kept a hold of herself and didn't cry. I asked her about it later and she told me that she was glad that I didn't say anything when her eyes were all teary, because than she would have cried. I called my sister Kali and told her, because she had called me earlier wanting to know and I told her I couldn't tell her, because I had to tell our parents first and they were coming over for dinner. When I told Kali she started screaming! She said that she was so excited and couldn't wait to see what she looked like. I started crying. I am so glad that she was so excited. I probably would have cried if her lags weren't crossed and we didn't really know for sure what she was. I called my sister Lyndsay and told her the good news. She was excited too. I called my friend Laura and told her, because, when I didn't answer her text she called me to find out if there was anything wrong. I felt that if I answered her text I would've ended up telling her before my parents. I texted everyone else, because our parents were still here and I didn't want to make them wait.
Laura is having a boy, Tanya is having a girl and Katie is having a boy. There are going to be two boys and two girls coming all within two weeks of each other.
Hans and I are just waiting for that day that we get to see Arlee Nichole Hoge and take her home with us.

Baby Update
Hello,
We thought that we would give you a little update on how the baby is doing. We are going to be finding out what we are having on November 11, 2008. We are really excited for this and can't wait to see if we are having a little Arlee or a little Skyler. I am now 18 weeks pregnant and just as happy as can be. I still have not been really sick or sick enough to stay home from work. I am glad for that. As much as I would love not to work anymore I got to stick it out until the baby is born.
I felt the baby move about two weeks ago. That was really cool. I was at work walking to get something off the printer and noticed that there was something tickling my stomach. I looked down and realized that the baby was moving and I felt it. People say it gives you little butterflies when it moves, but I just felt like there was an ant in my shirt crawling around. I called Hans and told him. He was pretty excited and thought that it was cool that I could feel it. Later that day he came home from basketball and the baby moved three times as he was walking in the door. I told him the baby was moving and he ran over and tried to feel it. I knew that he wouldn't be able to feel it for a long time, but he tried to feel it anyway. Then he went and took out the garbage and as he was coming in again the baby moved. I told him that it likes it when he is home and he just laughed. Hans has been a little disappointed that he has not been able to feel it, but he knows that he will be able to in time. He is just glad that I can feel it move and everything is alright.
I have been taking a pole of who thinks it is going to be a girl and who thinks it is going to be a boy. The ones that guess right are going to get a candy bar or something really yummy. For the most part everyone thinks that I am having a girl. I have no clue what it is I just want to know. Hans really wants to know what we are having as well. We are both counting down the days when we find out. My dad is trying to talk us out of finding out what it is. I told him that is just crazy. We have to know what it is so we can get it dressed. It is a lot easier for people to buy you presents for the showers if they know what it is as well. Maybe we will not find out one of the kids if we already have a boy and a girl. That is just a maybe though seeing as we are always so curious.
I will be writing again soon to fill you in on anything else that I can think of.

Marriage and life as we know it.
We have been married for 18 and 1/2 months. We met at work and started dating. Hans and I really hit it off. After about 2 weeks of dating we decided to become exclusive. We dated for five months before Hans asked me to marry him on August 21, 2006. I was so shocked!!! We hadn't talked about it really and I had some missionaries that I thought that I was going to be waiting for.
When Hans and I first started dating I knew that I might have to make a decission since I didn't think that I wanted to wait for the missionaries anymore after dating him for a little. I woke up one morning after having a dream that Hans asked me to marry him. I woke up praying on my pillow and that is what really got me thinking that he might ask me to marry him, by the end of the year, (This was in March that I woke up praying) crazy as it was that I woke up praying I thought it was the right thing to do when the time came. I would pray about it off and on throughout the time that we were dating and I always felt the same that it was the right thing to do. When he asked me there was no question what my answer would be. I knew he was the guy for me. Hans was so nervous and his voice was really shakey. I thought it was so cute.
Hans and I were engaged for six months before getting married. It took forever. I felt like I was in pause mode for the longest time. When we would have to say goodnight to each other before we went our seperate ways it was really hard and just seemed so silly. I feel that we waited too long to get married. There was no reason for it other then I wanted a spring wedding, which didn't happen anyway... there was snow on our wedding day. : ( It was okay though. We got some really cute pictures with the fresh snow. Since we have been married it has been a lot of fun. We love to watch movies and fall asleep together. It is so nice to be married to someone you love. Someone that you admire and want to be with forever and ever. Hans and I are on the same team and have the same goals in mind.
Right now Hans is in pharmacy school at Southern Nevada University. He is on his first year out of three.

We are expecting a baby here in March of 2009. We are really excited about it and can't wait to see what we are having. I am only thirteen weeks pregnant out of forty, but so far it has gone by fast. My doctor told us that I am a boring patient. What she meant was that I am perfectly healthy and so is the baby. We were able to hear the heart beat on our visit to the doctor. That was really cool. I am starting to show a little and sometimes you can feel a ball in my stomach depending on which way I am laying. Hans got to feel it twice already so that is really cool. Hans is going to be a great daddy. I love to watch him with our neice and nephew. Playing with them, making them laugh and really just spoiling them with his love.
