Baking Cookies and Family Time

The other day Hans and I decided to make some chocolate chip cookies.  They were delicious and made for some great family time.

Arlee had her first beater... Yummy cookie dough

Murray Park with Family and Flooded Fun

One Sunday, my family went to Murray Park to get pictures taken. When we got there Hans and I were driving around to find the rest of my family.  Looking around we noticed that the river that runs through the park was over flowing and it had covered three out of four of the bridges that go over it.  Yikes! I thought our opportunity to get pitcures in a good spot was ruined.
Luckily, the winter run off didn't ruin anything and we were still able to get our pictures taken.  My sister's boyfriend had his brother and sister take them for us.  They turned out great. I will be posting some when I get them.  After taking pictures my sister, Kali and I decided to play in the river a little bit.  Check it out.

Me walking in the freezing cold water.
Mine and Kali's feet were really starting to hurt from the water so we got on the light post
Mind you that you normally sit on the seat of this bench, but we couldn't with out getting our butt wet.
Me and Kali abonding the bench (acting anyway)
Here is a view down the river
Me standing on a tree that I waded out too... there was a hole or something and I got my pants all wet
Got my pants really wet on the back.
ME: I guess my face said it all it was cold!
Me and Kali  on the bridge
My sister, Abbie with Arlee on the only bridge that wasbn't flooded.
I don't know why she is making that face but it was cute.

It was a lot of fun at the park and I hope that we can do it again next year when it has the run off again.  Just maybe we will try and be there.

Pictures of Arlee outside

Arlee eating some fruit snacks on the lawn.  We went on a bike ride and this is while we stopped to eat lunch. My friend Audra and her son Simon (who I babysit) cam with us.
Arlee loves to be outside. Everytime in the morning when I am feeding her breakfast and she hears the birds outside. She will say, 'outside' and sometimes she will say please in sign language right after.  It is really cute that she loved to be outside and all, but hard sometimes when I need to be inside doing other things. She doesn't like that too much. Luckily, she has my skin and tans really well. I try and remember to put sunscreen on her before letting her out to play. Once you forget and she is playing it is not a easy task to try after she is busy having fun.  I love our little bug so much.

Our new toys

Hans and I decided to get some bikes.  They are matching and we love them.  We also have a bike trailer for Arlee. The trailer has room to put two kids adding up to 100 lbs in there together.  Let me just say that you wouldn't want to put anymore weight than that back there anyway.  Too stinking heavy, especially if there is a hill of any sort.
our new red bikes on the back of my car. of course with new bikes you have to get the hardware to tow them with.

a side view.

Jayden holding his new brother.  He is really cute with him.  He'll go up and give him kisses and hugs with out anyone telling him too. He will tell you while he is pointing: 'That is my baby brother, Braxton'. So cute!!!

Additions Anyone?

Hans and I recently got approved to look for a house. We have until December until the Days get home from their mission, but we figure it would be nice to get a good start on things. Plus you never know how long it will take.
Arlee has cut her fourth tooth. I know it is sad that she only has four, but what do you do... she is expected to be tall and have healthy teeth. What more could you want?
On Thursday, June 24, 2010 (exactly 23 months after finding out we were going to have our first baby, Arlee) we found out that we are going to have another baby.  Hans and I couldn't be more thrilled.  Arlee would be too, if she knew what was going on. I am due on March 4th, 2011.
I am hoping this pregnancy is much like my last one.  I didn't really get sick and most things I could eat/smell and they wouldn't bother me. I do hope this time that I will still be able to eat chicken and hopefully sausage won't make me sick either. All in all time will tell.  We'll keep you updated.

Could this be another favorite?

Lately, I have been trying to figure things out with Arlee. This one thing I think I have down.  She loves to play in this cabinet.  It is the funniest time for me to watch her as I am making dinner, doing the dishes or just taking a breather.  She will sit and play in the cabinet for about an hour.  It is the darnest thing.  She will just empty and fill it over and over while talking either to me or to herself. She carries the items around the kitchen with her and then takes it back.  You would think that she is shopping or something, but no grocery cart and no long lines.  Just her and the containers of food.
