The Bohmans- Our 1st Visitors

Our friends were coming through town on there way back to Seattle area from Salt Lake and stopped in and spent some time with us. It was so nice having them here. Here are some pictures from our adventures:
Arlee and Aliya had a sleep over in Arlee's room while Tanya, Kevin and Abram slept in the guest bedroom. The girls were so happy to go to sleep and did so well just going to bed. We didn't have to remind them not to talk at all. I am so grateful for that and it would have made it a long night. When Aliya woke up in the morning she wasn't sure where she was. I found her crying downstairs after getting Arlee. I am pretty sure they woke up at the same time.
Arlee and Aliya watched a movie after I found Aliya downstairs. This was during the time that I made breakfast. The boys (Hans and Kevin) woke up early to play basketball and were still gone. I was guessing that Tanya was still asleep. Turns out that Tanya heard Arlee crying and thought that Aliya was still in bed. Hahaha. Those two sounds so much alike it is insane.
Arlee waiting to go to a playhouse. This was right before we told her to get in the car to go. She was so excited to go.
 Arlee at the playhouse

Arlee and Aliya playing at the playhouse. I couldn't get Aliya to look at me for this picture, but I thought I would post it anyway.
After the playhouse we went to Taco Bell and got some lunch.
Arlee was still waiting for her food, but we all enjoyed it.
After the Taco Bell we came home to rest and get ready for dinner a little bit later (homemade pizza). All the kids fell asleep watching a movie.
Abram sleeping next to Kevin on the floor.
Aliya got put down for a nap and then woke up and came downstairs and fell back asleep. The playhouse was a great thing for us to do since it wore the kids out. Otherwise they probably wouldn't have taken naps. Well, Abram took plenty, but he is still a baby.

We had dinner and then they packed up and left. It was great to have them come and stay and look forward to the next visit. We are hoping that Thanksgiving is going to be it if not sooner. I can't travel anywhere and they are not going down to Utah for that so it all works out.

Adventures of Arlee

Here some pictures of what Arlee has been doing recently:

Putting woody up on the door.
Most of the time she just hangs him by his pull sting, but this was something new so we got a picture.
Throws all the stuffed animals down the stairs. Now I have put a stop to this since I hate bringing them all back up. Notice Jessie on the floor, which she didn't throw down the stairs. We did not have stairs in our last place thank goodness.

Arlee had a birthday shout HOORAY!

Here are some pictures from Arlee's 2nd birthday!

On Arlee's birthday we invited a couple people to Jungle Jims. The following came: My mom, Kasiah, Brock, Amy, Landon, Laura, Jon, Gage and of course me, Arlee and Hans. Here are some of the moments that the kids had.
2nd car: Arlee, Brock and Kasiah (the favorite ride for Arlee I think.)

Arlee being the cow girl that she is on the merry go round. Me too! Giddy up: )

We just did simple cup cakes for Arlee's birthday since Kali was making her a cake. Plus they are a whole lot easier to do for little kids.

Jon and Gage (Laura didn't want to be in the picture)
 Amy and Landon
 Brock showing off his tash!
Hans and Arlee (the frosting could have been lighter to not stain their clothes, but it has been noted for other affairs.)
Arlee and Gage (Arlee saying Vroom Vroom Mommy!)
Okay this was actually really funny. Brock was riding the bumper cars and he thinks that you just drive them and not run into anyone. The other kids had a different look at it.  As you can see here, brock is pretty upset. This happened again and again and... again. Each time he would upset, but he wanted to keep riding them. I guess you could say the lesson was not learned, but it was sure funny for all that was watching. HAHAHAHAHAhahahhahahhahah aaaaaa!
Arlee and Gage. At first, Gage was not liking the idea of the rides, but when we were about ready to leave he wanted to ride... figures! Just joking. It was a lot of fun seeing him and Arlee riding together.

This is the Woody that we gave Arlee for her birthday. She loves watching Toy Story 3 so it was a huge hit. I actually got the idea from my nephew, Jayden. He has a Woody just like this one.  Come with the pull string and an interactive hat. When you take off the hat it says some different phrases like "Where did my hat go?" "A cowboy with out a hat is like a yoodle with out a hey-he-oo." Arlee loves the last comment and it is so funny to hear her say it. When you put his hat back on: "You found my hat! Thank you, thank you... THANK YOU!"

The day after her birthday (26th) we took Arlee to the Living Planet Aquarium for the 1st time. Here are some of the pictures.

Arlee sitting on the giant toad/frog (not exactly sure the difference with out reading something)

Hans and Arlee by one of the exibits.
As most 2 year olds... Arlee was pretty excited to see the NEMO fish from another popular movie
She loved looking at this huge turtle as well, but didn't think of CRUSH off of Nemo. : P Also in this tank there were some sharks that would swim right next to the glass. They kept surprising me and Arlee as we were usually looking at something else.
Arlee saw this fish (NEMO) and tried ripping it off to take it with us. We told her it was stuck and she had to leave it there.

Family picture. They really captured Arlee's favorite past time. haha

Here are some pictures of my side. Arlee's birthday party.

The Jessie cake that my little sister Kali made for Arlee. Arlee loves Jessie and Woody as you may be able to tell.
Kali and Arlee (I didn't get a good picture of them both, but I figure Kali would care more if she was the one not looking her best.)
Arlee cheesing it up. LOVE IT!

Arlee tried grabbing the candle after not being able to blow it out and WAAAALAAAAA!
Hans ended up blowing it out. (she did blow the cup cake one out though) I was sitting with her so this didn't happen, but I was toooooo tooo too late. Darn it.
Other than that it was generally a happy birthday experience for her.

Happy Birthday Cakes!

MOM

This is what we gave him

Arlee loves TOY STORY 3! Landon got something from the movie (can't remember), but she loved looking at it.

Landon is getting so good at walking. Still falls down a lot, but for being 1 I would day that he is doing pretty well.

DIRT CAKE! Delicious...

The monster truck was on top of the cake along with some gummy worms.

Happy Birthday Pants!

Amy's and Kasiah's Birthdays

We are already into January and already had two birthdays! Good grief I tell ya.

Amy's birthday was celebrated on the 1st by going out to lunch with Hans' family and also to a movie.  Then on her actual birthday (the 4th) Arlee and I went out to dinner with Amy's family (Hans was at work) and then over to her house for cake and ice cream (Hans' met us there). That was a good time visiting and having Amy's favorite cake and frosting (mine too) Rainbow chip frosting not to be confused with funfetti and rainbow chip cake. It was delicious! Thanks to Amy for having it.

Kasiah's birthday was celebrated at my parents' house on the 2nd. We had dinner as we normally do as a family and then had cake and ice cream. Let me tell ya... The cake was very fantasy like. My sister, Kali made the cake. Kasiah has been asking for a castle cake the last couple of years and she finally got her wish. Kali did a great job and Kasiah was so excited about it. Kasiah's real birthday is on the 5th.

Kali and Kasiah with her fabulous cake

She opened this one and was so excited about the $1 we then told her that it was $5. She was waving it around a lot so I couldn't get a really good picture.

We gave her two pairs of pants and a shirt for her to mix and match.

Okay, Arlee loved the frosting and cake, but mainly the frosting. She enjoyed eating it off the pillars... as you can see. : P

My mom wasn't holding it close enough so Arlee gave it a try anyway.

Then she got a hold of it...

Kasiah wanted in on the action too.

My mom, Arlee and Kali

Ewwww... messy little girl.

These next pictures are of Kasiah and Arlee playing with the dress up clothes and Lovin' it!

Arlee is playing with her earings.

This is sadly the best picture out of many attempts that we got of them.

Arlee may have been telling me that she needed to go to the bathroom in this one...

A close up of the cake (don't know why it ended up down here and not by the others. Oh well.)

Coming up we have my sister, Abbie's birthday, but I am having ear surgery that day so I am not sure if I will be getting any pictures since I am usually the one taking them. We will have to see.
