Eight Months Old!!!

Arlee is now eight months old. It is crazy how time has flown by! She weighs about eighteen pounds and twenty-seven inches long. While she is attempting to crawl, she is as curious as any little one. She grabs everything and almost instantly puts it into her mouth; if it will fit that is. Arlee has a little cold, but I think that she is getting over it. Yea! I was even thinking about taking her to the doctor last night. She was so congested and sounded aweful, but hey she fell asleep so all was well.

It was her very first Thanksgiving yesterday, but isn't old enough to enjoy all the delicious baked goods, cooked turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. A few things that she is old enough to do is: cry anytime anyone wanted to hold her, talk to her or even just look at her. After a little bit of that she calmed down and just enjoyed herself. Silly little bug!

Arlee's First Halloween

This year was Arlee's first Halloween. She was dressed up as a Lady Bug. She looked so cute. To tie in with Arlee's outfit Hans and I were SWAT. We wore all black and had SWAT on our shirts. Then we carried around fly swatters and that was out outfits. Of course we don't "swat" Arlee, but I thought it was a really cute idea for us this year.

This is my pumpkin that I carved this year. It is a witch.
This is Hans' pumpkin and it is a tomb raider. There is a diamond on the bottom of the picture that he is after.

Arlee's cousin Brock was spiderman. They really like each other as you can tell. (I didn't have Arlee's hat on.... It just kept falling off.)

Here we have some of Hans' family: (Left to right) Amy-dressed up as the one Spiderman saves. (she is pregnant), Brock- spiderman, Jens (Hans' brother)- a bad guy that Spiderman catches, Me- SWAT, Arlee- Lady Bug, Hans- SWAT, Ulla (Hans' mom)- the clown

Arlee with my sunglasses on... Makes really cute "bug eyes" :)

This is a picture that we took right before we left for our adventures.

Arlee is all ready to go!

This was on Friday night at my friends' house. Gage and Arlee playing with their party cups. They loved them.

Arlee and Gage dressed up for the party.... they are holding hands- how cute! Gage is a lion.
This weekend was a lot of fun. Halloween used to be one of my least favorite holidays, but this year was great to take Arlee around and see everyone. We are looking forward to next year when she will really enjoy the trick or treating.

Waiting game no more!

We have found a place to live! We are so excited. Hans' mom called and said that one of her friends told her of a place that we might be interested in. When I was talking to her about it I got really excited and wanted to see it. I made an appointment for the next day. Hans and I went over there and we fell in love with the house. We have three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a huge yard and a volleyball net that we can use in the summer with our BBQ that we love to have. The lease will be until December of 2010. We will finally be ready to buy a house by then. The people that live there are on a mission in Chile so all their stuff is there, but it is going to be great!
With this house we have to keep up the yard, garden and the house. On some occasions I will have to answer the phones for the travel business that is run out of the basement when the people who work there are out of town on a tour. Our rent is only $90 a month. Of course, while we are living there we will have to do the other things, but we are doing that here where we are living now. They have a riding lawn mower so I am not to sad about that.
Right now there is a lady and her two kids living there and they are buying a house in Idaho. They will be closing on it the end of November- first part of December; so we will move in after they are out. I know, I know what a great time to move. I am sure that everything will work out somehow. This will be our third move in the winter and it will be four when we move again. I will keep you updated, until next time... have a great Halloween.

Waiting game....

Arlee is taking a nap so I thought I would blog a little bit. Since my grandpa passed away we havn't been sure if we are going to be able to keep renting his house. My aunt is going to buy it and they still want to rent it to us, but we aren't sure if we can afford to stay if they make the rent too high.

.....Arlee woke up, but she is letting me type still. Anyway, now Hans is home... It has been a crazy day. SOoooo like I was saying; it has been a huge waiting game and it is getting old. Right now my aunt is still working on the house closing process. I just had the fourth appraiser come to the house today. This time it was the bank's appraiser. I really hope that we can stay here and not have to move before we buy a house when Hans is out of school in about two years. So hopefully we will know by the middle of November. I would really like to know before Thanksgiving, so I can start looking for a place and then I won't decorate for Christmas if we are not going to be here. If any of you know of any good deals in the Salt Lake area, let me know. I better talk to Hans before he is off to work.

Arlee's Sixth Month/ Family Photos

So last time that we got pictures done, Arlee was about three weeks old. It was the worst time ever. She was still in the stage that she ate every two hours or two and a half if we were lucky. So by the time that we got there for our scheduled time she was hungry again. They tried to take pictures anyway and we only got about 13 taken and most of them I didn't like. Mind you that to get those 13 pictures we had to come back twice and once again... Arlee was hungry! : ( So you would have to expect that Hans and I thought it was going to be more of a chore than anything. It went great! Arlee was fed, full and as cute as can be. I have include some of my favs.

Arlee crying right at the end of the pictures... You know I had to put this one on here. ; )

I love this picture. She is so adorable!

Arlee on her tippie toes, just like a ballerinia

She looks to me like she is up to something

I love this picture.

Anyway, I hope you love them as much as we do : )

1st Family Vacation together!!!

As mentioned in the blog before this one. We went on our first family vacation. It was so much fun. Our friends, the Bohmans took us along with them to St. George from the 13th to the 17th. It was great fun. We went swimming, played raquetball, went on walks, went out to dinner, had a BBQ, played card games and yard games. The Bohmans have a little girl named Aliya. Arlee is 15 days older than her and we think that they will grow to be pretty good friends. Tanya Bohman and I have been friends since I can remember. We played soccer together, got married around the same time and now are raising our daughters together. It has been so nice to be around them. Not only are we in the same stage of our lives, but we all get along with each other. I know that sounds surprising, but it happens often when people get together and they don't
really care for one of the people or whatever the case maybe, but they are a lot of fun.

Here is a picture of us. Don't you just love the tan lines? That was Arlee's first time swimming and she loved it. We were shocked. I thought for sure that it was going to be the worst idea ever, but she really enjoyed it.

Here is our little beach bum... She is so cute! I had to get a picture of her with the sun screen on her nose.

Anyway... until next time.

Four Months

Arlee is now four months old. She is getting so big and we can't believe how the time has just flown by. When I took her into the doctor's for her check up she was 25 inches, 14lbs 15 oz and 79% for her weight and height. Her head is in the 90th percentile. So from her 2nd month to her fourth she has gained over two pounds and only grown an inch. Arlee did really good with her shots again. She only cried for a few minutes and wasn't too fussy either. Well I got to run... we are in St. George with some friends. I will have to post some pictures when I get back of our trip. Good bye for now. :P
