I have been called into the Primary Presidency as the 2nd counselor. With this calling last week I got the assignment to do the next sharing time. Which just happened to be for today. It went pretty well and considering that I ran out of time I think I prepared enough.
I have already learned so much just from doing sharing time of what not to do. Haha. We did a matching game and I put all the cards up too high. In turn the little kids couldn't reach them. It actually got to the point that I lifted one of them up and just about gave the 1st counselor a heart attack. (since I am almost due) I didn't think anything of it since I lift up Arlee all the time. Instead of having them come up and pointing to which one they want to flip over I would just number them. This is for 2 reasons: One so they can stay in their seat. And two so they have something to help remind them where the stuff is.
We really don't have a lot of kids in the primary. Let alone we don't really have a lot of older ones to help me with reading. The reading assignments should have been passed out ahead of time so that I didn't have to do that. This was the 2nd time that I have gone to primary in a long time. I am so thankful for this calling and to be able to serve along some great people. The kids are precious and I can't wait to find out what all their names are. : )
I know that 15 minutes teaching sharing time went by so fast and I would much rather do it again than talk in sacrament. This is truly a great calling and I am so excited to learn all there is to know about my duties.
