Adventures of Arlee

Here some pictures of what Arlee has been doing recently:

 Putting woody up on the door.

 Most of the time she just hangs him by his pull sting, but this was something new so we got a picture.

 Throws all the stuffed animals down the stairs. Now I have put a stop to this since I hate bringing them all back up. Notice Jessie on the floor, which she didn't throw down the stairs. We did not have stairs in our last place thank goodness.

Arlee has a new favorite song to get her move on with.

She loves to sing the chorus like this: oh oh stuck goo. While she is singing along with it you better believe she is shaking her booty!

HE PASSED EM' ALL!!!!

Hans has passed all the tests that he needs in order to get his Washington Pharmacist License! YAY!!!!!! We are so excited and as you can imagine relieved. Now, we wait for it to be posted online and then he can work.  It should be online in 1-2 weeks and his official paper license will be mailed in 2-4 weeks.  

Congratulations Hansel. All of us are so proud of you.

Hans and the little baby!

Hans and I were watching a movie last Saturday and he felt the baby move for the first time. YAY!!!! This is pretty crazy because I was just a couple days short of 18 weeks and he was able to feel it. When I was pregnant with Arlee he wasn't able to feel it until I was 20 weeks along. Pretty awesome I think.

Somewhere new...for us!

Yesterday, 7/14/11 we went on a walk together. As I have mentioned before we have a walking path close to our house. I have found out recently that there are a couple different ways to go on it. It doesn't all tie together in other words.

After walking for awhile we came to this lake that is right off the walking path. It was so nice to stop for a few minutes and let Arlee throw some rocks in the water.

I wasn't avoiding the camera... I was looking for rocks when Hans was taking these.

This picture was taken about five yards from where we were sitting at the lake.  Notice on the left a nest, a huge nest!

As far as we could tell this nest had 2 birds in it.  I kind of think that these might be the same birds that we saw on the 4th of July at a different location on the walking path.

You can probably see the one bird just fine, but the second is off to the right with just its head poking up to say cheese.

I have no idea how far we walked on the path, but my hips were sore by the time we got home. Walking on the path is pretty relaxing and it was an overcast day which made it even more relaxing.

Happy Birthday to ME!

Well I had my 24th birthday this last wednesday. This is how our day went:

-Hans took his last pharmacy test- thank goodness!
-We ate breakfast together after he got home
-Talked to Ulla on Skype so she could see me open my present
-Ate lunch together
-Took Arlee to a new park where she could feed the ducks, which were no longer hungry since everyone had been feeding them around lunch time.
-Went and got some ice cream at Ron's (soft serve: okay, but not a huge fan)
-Went home for a little bit and relaxed
-Before dinner I wanted to go and see this shopping center downtown. Took the picture below there of Arlee. Apparently, it isn't as big as I thought it was going to be looking at it from the road. Still a cool place though.

-Then we were off for some dinner at the Olive Garden
-Went and got a redbox and watched it after Arlee was in bed.

During the day I got a lot of texts from family and friends wishing me a Happy Birthday. Yes my birthday was a little bit different than normal, but we had fun spending time together as a family. We are still trying to figure out what there is to do around us. Shouldn't take long once we venture out more and more.

4th of July

Here are some of the things we did on the 4th of July.

We went to our ward breakfast/ pool party. This was a lot of fun. The pool is kept at 85 degrees! It was really nice for Arlee. She didn't get cold until she kept getting in and out to jump off the diving board. Oh and as you can tell also to shoot some hoops with Hans.

We went on a walk on the YAKIMA GREENWAY. This is right before I started getting sucked to death my mosquitoes. I hate those things, but they seem to really love me. BLOODY MARY O NEGATIVE! That is what they tell the bar tender in the Pixar movie A Bugs Life. ha ha ha ha (actually I think they say POSITIVE instead, but ya get the point.)

 I sent Hans to Walmart to get me some bug repellent and then we continued our walk. Arlee played on the toys while he was gone, which she asks every day to go to.

 One of the many lakes that are off the path. This is actually on the other side of the path from the river. It is really weird to see a calm lake while on the other side there is a river making all kinds of noise as it hurries by.

 Mt. Adams! This is a little more than 12,000 feet in elevation. Hans took this from the lake above. Pretty nice view I think. Also very appropriate for the 4th of July. Too bad those birds aren't eagles right?

I really enjoy sunsets. Can ya tell? 

The camera battery died shortly after this so we didn't take any of us at the fireworks, but we had a blast. Arlee said her favorite ones are the "little pink ones". I think Hans and I just like them all. We sat at the park on a hill with about a thousand or so other people. Looking over the lake you could see the fireworks. Hans and I liked that you could see the reflection in the water, but I prefer to be right underneath them instead.  We were planning to go where they shoot them off, after our walk, but we figured that everyone else that was at the park must know what they are talking about. So we listened and it was a good show, but not as loud as I like them. I wish I was going to be in Utah for the 24th of July, but I will be missing that show. By far my favorite show of the firework season.
So, all you Utah people go to Liberty Park and watch the show for me. It is at 13th s and 7th e.

Just kidding I found one (took it with my phone). Arlee loves to wear Hans' hat and the Seattle sweatshirt that she has on is from my mom when we went to Seattle and we were freezing. We were dressed like it was 75 degrees in Yakima and then arrived in Seattle and it was 61 degrees really windy and humid and cloudy. She felt bad for Arlee so she bought her a jacket so we could go walk and see the Space Needle. Hahaha then we decided to just drive the car since we were paying for parking, but Arlee loves the sweater anyway.
We miss you all, but we are enjoying our life here in Washington. Until next time, (should be soon) good bye.
