FINALLY!!!!!

Well after a week and one attempt we made it to thee zoo. It was a lot of fun and totally worth making the trip.

 We were able to borrow a stroller from Kasiah's mom so we could have both girls in a stroller. I brought my wrap and backpack for Lydia, but it all worked out okay.

 Jens, Ulla, Brock, Kasiah, and Amy looking at the elephants. We did find out that the Hogle Zoo only has female elephants. The one that was by itself was a really old elephant. It is 52 years old and 3 years away from breaking the worlds oldest recorded elephant. She doesn't have any of the signs of old age so they expect her to break that record easily. We will have to wait and find out. They was making all kinds of noise and the kids loved it.

 another fun thing was to be in the shade. It was so hot and this was a pretty cool place to be. Needless to say we watched them for a while. The kids were chasing them back and forth.

 It took a lot of attempts to get this picture perfect. Hahaha as you can tell.

 Now the Polar bear! It was swimming up to the glass from under the water and then would poke its head up right in front of the children watching. Push off and float on its back and then repeat.

 It was a pink day for all of us.

The zoo went pretty well. If it had been about 20 degrees cooler it would have been perfect!

Kali's Shower DAY!

Lyndsay was not able to make it to Salt Lake, but we still had Kali's shower. Kali did mention that it wasn't perfect with out her there, but she was happy she could still have it anyway. My mom and I did a lot of the running while Abbie was working. It worked out nicely I thought. Here are a few pictures from the event.

 Hans watched the girls while my mom and I were getting things ready for the shower. They were still pretty tired from watching fireworks.

 Arlee got a hair cut while we were there and it looks so much better. A lot easier to manage too. Which makes me happier to do it.

 Abbie got Lydia to go to sleep and Arlee enjoyed coloring.

 This was a really cute idea and I haven't seen it done before. They put their presents (mostly clothes) on a clothes line and fastened them on with clothes pins. After that they put them in an adorable hamper. No need to wrap these presents, they are good as is.

 Story:
We went shopping and found Kali a blue bumbo. They either had blue or pink. Since she chose green- being more neutral than the other two. We bought her blue since it is better for a girl to be in blue than a boy being in pink. She is going to have a girl, but we thought she could go exchange it if she could find it. While we were explaining this to Hans he got on his phone and called a few different places after seeing they may have some online. He found the coveted green bumbo! So my mom and I went out on the town. We had to drive to South Jordan, Utah which is about a half hour away in the 11 o'clock hour. On our way there, we were talking about how tired we were and they better still have it.
Low and Behold they had it! We were going to make one pregnant girl happy. Happy she was as you can see. :)

My camera was going to die so sorry if we missed your present that you gave. Please don't be offended she loved all of them and so did I. I think I said OH CUTE! to everything.

Friends

We were able to see a few friends while in Salt Lake. 

We were supposed to go to the Smith's for dinner, but Arlee's appointment ran long. They met us at Leatherbys instead for dinner. Later we were joined by the Bohmans who were originally meeting us there for ice cream. This place is so good, but mainly the ice cream. After dinner and ice cream we went and fed the ducks. The kids really liked this part.

 Alyia, Kevin (fishing), Abram and Tanya- I grew up with Tanya and she is living in Tacoma, Washington while Kevin is in PT school. They move back to Salt Lake in December. :(

We missed the Mushrush family. We were supposed to go to a birthday party at their house, but then Arlee broke her leg and threw up so we missed them. They were missed too.

Post Insta- Care

While we were at Insta- Care they told us that we needed to make another appointment to get in to see our on doctor. Well Arlee's doctor is in Yakima and we were still visting and would be until the following Saturday. It was Wednesday by the time that she got to see the doctor. She was not a happy camper again while they were putting the casting materials on. 

Arlee was excited to get out of there. On the way up in the elevator we saw these fish from inside. We told Arlee on the way down we would really take a look at them. They were the highlight of this appointment.
