We heard that my sister, Lyndsay was coming to town with her two boys and decided to make the trip down even though we would be making it down a month later. I know it is crazy, but we haven't seen my sister and her family for about 19 months. We thought they might be worth the trip. : )
About a week before we got there my sister, Kali had her baby girl, Leili. Isn't she so cute?
We took every opportunity to hold her. I even got to change her diaper a couple times, just so I could hold on to her longer. Once Lyndsay got into town she and I "shared" Abbie was okay with us holding her the whole time, because she lives in Salt Lake too. Lyndsay and I are the ones that moved away.
We went to the Zoo with the Mushrush Family. The kids had a lot of fun together. Arlee loved the elephants and the seals. It helps that she can get right up close and personal with them too; I am sure.

Lydia was in the stroller. We didn't forget about her I promise. I really wanted her to nap.
The Fire Pit- My parents have a fire pit in the back of the yard. We love making Smore's out there. I have to say though. I am pretty terrified that someone might fall in.
Kasiah loves taking pictures. Lydia doesn't really care I guess.
Braxton is well trained in the picture department
Braxton and Dane
Me and Harper! We finally got to meet Harper. She is my brother, Brady's baby.
Kasiah's new little sister and doesn't she look so proud? (picture below)
Sarah, Harper, Brady and Kasiah
Harper had to have surgery in the morning. Her throat thingy (medical terms are not my strongest) fixed. It wasn't closing right. Hans was able to give her a blessing along with my parents neighbor. She is a sweet little baby. She was born four weeks early and really hasn't had the best luck. She seems to be doing better now. I am so thankful for the priesthood. Hans is so willing to help in anyway that he can. He was thankful for the opportunity too.
We had all the seats filled in my car. All the kids rode with us. Kasiah had not been picked up from school yet. Arlee loved sitting in the back with Jayden. Braxton loved watching movies and Lydia loved being back their with so many people to watch and play with.
We took the kids to the park before picking Kasiah up from school. We went to Liberty Park towards down town Salt Lake City. I have to say I love this park. There is so much for all ages.
Check out that form!!!!
This thing is kind of complicated. Arlee liked it though.
I love taking pictures of this girl. She is precious! Arlee is at a stage where she is too busy and Lydia humors me.
Lydia is always doing and thinking about something. She is pretty expressive most of the time. When she just sits and stares at her fingers I try my hardest to imagine what she is thinking about. At this age, she puzzle me. Sometimes she knows what she wants and she'll let you know and other times she is content looking at her hands. She is interesting to me. At this point in a baby's life they really start to be interesting to me. I love to watch them think and work through situations. I love to see what it is that makes them tick. For her right now, it is her hands, tongue, voice and silly people making faces at her as she shys into my shoulder in hopes that they keep talking so she can do it again and again.
I was playing with Lydia and I saw my parents being them so I thought I would get out my camera and work my detective skills.
Then they spotted me and acted like this. (below) I will tell you what... They were up to something!
Lyndsay and Braxton
My mom making Arlee's day- Spinning like crazy!
Now what is this little girl up to?
My mom making my day. Spinning me like crazy! HAhaha actually we couldn't get the thing to work right. Our goal was for me to get all the way around and we never got there. I swear it is impossible.
After our little fun. Arlee and Jayden wanted to spin on the tire swing. Lyndsay and I got them going so fast. We made sure to ask them if they were okay. No worries... Their little faces were priceless as they lost their stomachs if they would go too fast or be caught off guard. At one point, I had to step away or I was going to wet my pants. We were laughing so hard. I have been known very well to wet my pants if I laugh too hard. My body just can't take it.
We left to my parents house. We were done playing at the park. We got with in about 5 minutes of their house. I hear some coughing. I look back and asked Jayden if he was okay and he told me no and just then he lost it. I guess we might have over done the tire swing. Oops! Then he started crying. He was so upset. I told him that he wasn't in trouble. It was okay. I called Lyndsay- she was in the other car with my parents and told her what happened.
We got it all cleaned out thank goodness. No smell remained. I am so glad. Otherwise it would have been a long week and a drive back to Washington.
Of course we had to go shopping. We went to Park City the day Hans drove back to Washington. I got some Christmas shopping done to send with Lyndsay back to Texas and got some really good deals on some outfits for the girls. I have to say that was pretty successful. Oh and no one lost their lunch in my car again.
After shopping we took the kids to the playground in the shopping center and let them play for a bit. They were so good in the store. They deserved it.
I seriously miss these mountains. They were beautiful with the fall colors covering them completely.
Every time we come back to Salt Lake I stare at them. I forget how massive they are. I didn't realize it so much when I saw them all the time, but now I do for sure.
Story-
We were driving to one of the local fruit stands near our house and Arlee yells out. 'Look mountains!' I turned to Hans and said, 'oh my gosh, we are ruining her if she thinks those are mountains.'
While we were there. Someone was getting a helicopter lesson. The kids loved seeing it land and take off. They kept saying, 'Hey helicopter! Don't make me come over there!!!!' Then bust out laughing. I enjoyed watching them act tough and get all excited about it coming back.
Jake and the Kiddos- Lydia loves picture time today. Can you tell?
Jake flies in this plane often. He is about 6'4 and and I still shocked that he can fit in there, let alone three other people.
Parking lot of planes
After we took all the pictures that we wanted and Jake locked the plane. Arlee and Jayden followed him for about 5 minutes asking what things were. He was a great tour guide.
We went to Artic Circle. Lyndsay really wanted some fry sauce. I hate eating there. Every time I get a stomach ache. I can handle the ice cream, but the food. You can forget it.
Hans holding Leili the night before he left back home. Precious!
We went bowling. It was fun, but no pictures other than this one worth posting. My little Miss.
After we went bowling, I went and played soccer. It was a blast and I was so sore afterwards. I know I am in so much better shape since starting the INSANITY program.
We went to Jungle Jims!
Don't let this kid fool you. He is cute alright, but man he is out to get you in bumper cars! Arlee and Kasiah laughing in the background.
Jake was such a good sport riding with the kids on the roller coaster. They love it, but hold on for dear life once it starts going. I was nervous to let Jayden in my car after this, but then I remembered he rode with my mom. Do you think he threw up? Oh no! Of course not. Good thing too. He really would have been embarrassed.
We went to the aquarium. Lyndsay and I touched a shark. Lyndsay was screaming like a girl too. Hahaha. The people around us were laughing that she was having a hard time getting the courage to touch it. She would almost touch it and pull back at the last moment. Hilarious.
Now we have 3 people pregnant in our combined family.
Hans' two sisters in law and my sister.
Pretty crazy! I am not sure when we will have another, but I can tell you that it won't be this year. haha
Until our next crazy life post....
Laters!
