Arlee In Recent Events

Here are some pictures of Arlee in some recent events.

Everytime that Arlee sees a weed that looks like a flower or a flower (fake or real) she has to go up and smell it and no matter if it is a good, bad or no smell at all she will sniff and say "mmmm".

Arlee has been such a Daddy's girl. Everytime that Hans is home she is following right behind him saying DaDa... Dada... DADA!!!! If you don't answer her she just gets louder and louder.
Last year Hans and I went to a Jazz game and he got the hat that Arlee is wearing. Lately, Hans has taught Arlee to love watching sports. She will say, "BASKETBALL!", "FOOTBALL!" or "BASEBALL!" followed by a "YEA!" with clapping. She gets so excited. Arlee will even ask me to watch them when Hans isn't even home! What has he done to my little girl. He is turning her against me. They have a lot of fun though.  We can also say to Arlee, "Arlee, say it." and she will smerk and most of the time say basketball or football and cheer and clap like she always does. So CUTE! : D

This picture was taken at Kali and Shawn's reception

These next pictures are from my nephew Jayden's birthday at Jungle Jim's

Arlee, Raegyn and me on the favorite rollercoaster. They went on it over and over. We didn't even need to get off we would just tell them that we are going to go again and they would restart the ride. Good times on this rollercoaster. First it would go forwards and then it would stop (most of the kids would stand up thinking that it was over) then it would go backwards. Kasiah and Jayden would always tell me that it was going to go backwards so I wouldn't stand up. Silly kids.

Arlee trying to hit the pinata. She did pretty well too, but not enough force yet to break the darn thing open. GOSH!

These pictures are from the Hogle Zoo

Arlee and Jayden looking at the elephants. While we were there it rained a lot and we had to try and keep out of the rain. Kind of a crazy time, but the kids had fun hanging out together.

Arlee, mom, Braxton and Jayden with the gorilla.  My mom was telling me that Arlee was making the gorilla sounds while pounding on her chest, hence my mom silly face.  Arlee got a little scared from the gorilla when it got close to her. I think it sensed it and moved away. The gorillas I think are my favorite.

Arlee during Bath Time

She loves trying to wash her hair. This is the most bubbles that she has ever had in her bath. I didn't realize that she dumped the whole bottle of soap out into the tub, until it instantly filled with bubbles. Normally there are only a few suds.

I will be posting more pictures after we get internet in our new place on the 10th. Should have a lot by then.  : )

Discovery Gateway Fun!!!

Last week Arlee and I went with the Materns to Discovery Gateway. It was our first time going and we had a blast. I was thinking about going with Hans, but it was $8.50 a person and what can I say we are cheap. We didn't want to risk the $8.50 and Arlee totally hating it.
Anyway, the Materns have a pass that allowed Arlee and I to get in for free. I now think that I would like to get one too. : ) Arlee had so much fun exploring different things there and Lucy was there to show her the way. Thanks Casey and John for having such a good helper.

Arlee "flying" the retired lifeflight helicopter and some kid I don't know, but he was in the way. : )

Arlee taking it easy and just enjoying the noises that it was making (very loud by the way).

Thank you Casey for taking us and I can't wait until we go again. Maybe it should be a biweekly event?  I am going to be talking Hans into getting a pass there for sure.

24th Of JULY!

For the 24th of July (Pioneer Day) we went out boating with some friends of ours. It was a lot of fun. We got a little banged up, but it was all worth it. Here are some pictures.

Our attemp to get a picture while the boys were getting out on the tube

On the tube and ready to go...

I think that they are scared for their lives

Us girls waiting for the ride.

easy... Easy... EASYYYYY!!!!
So much fun, Thanks to Jon and Laura for letting us tag along. : O

These pictures were taken while waiting for the Fireworks to start at Liberty Park.

I said fish face and this is what happened.

The motorcycle cop making sure that everyone is out of the path in case of an emergency

Let the fireworks begin! It would have been a great show like it was in the past however some fireworks went into the crowd and they ended earlier... too much too early. The Finale had just begun. Boooo!

Emergency Path needed. Good thing there was one. So many people got burned.

I like the lights on this one.

Events Missed or Skipped Over

I wonder how this could possibly happen to me and I can't help, but to think it is because I have a little girl that keeps me so busy that I forget. Or maybe that it is because we now have two cameras and I hadn't used this particular one as much since getting the new one. Can you blame me?

She has a lot more hair now, but I had to add this one to the collection since she is looking and smiling at me. Happens alot, but I usually don't get a picture of it for some reason. : (

This is a toy that I got for a steal at the DI and it was only $4!  Can you believe it? Arlee loved this toy. While we are in the apartment it will be kept at my mom's house so Arlee can still enjoy it.  Notice the binky on the ground.... I am so glad to be done with that business! Also the cup in hand. She loves juice. Whenever there is juice in it she will carry it around until she is done with it.

Arlee loved carrying this truck around in our backyard. She would walk all over the patio area and do several different things with it. She would take it to the fence (you can see in front of her) and beg me to let her out over into the rocks just on the other side. Arlee would do a butt scoot as she pushed it along the various points. She would try and use the bull dozer shovel thing and get the dirt out of the flower boxes (one inparticular). Oh how she loved that toy.
I am sure that she is going to miss playing outside freely when we move into the apartment, but I am sure that she will find something else to do that will be just as fun. Lately Arlee has been enjoying the benefits of "ESS UP" which is dress up. Kasiah and Arlee could play that all day if they could. I am pretty convinced that Arlee is more into not wearing the "regular" boring clothes. The dress up clothes have more novelty to them I guess. I get it though since I loved playing dress up to. : D

Being the new Martha Stewart!

Since I was young I have been helping my mom put up fruit. We have made applesauce, dried apples, dried bananas, stewed tomatoes, tomato juice, grape juice, raisins, bottled peaches and other delicious food items.  This year was an off year for both my mom's and our house's fruit. (The fruit comes in more one year and off the next year.)
The fruit that I have here is grapes so I have been making grape juice. Right now I have 39 bottles and there is still more that I need to do. My mom has come to take some and Hans' mom has as well. We have the grapes wrapping around our yard. It has been a great blessing living here to get the grape juice done. Our families both love grape juice. I think my family might like it a little bit more since I have never actually seen Hans' drink juice. With my family however we drink it all the time.  I am glad that this year it is at my house and I am doing the work to keep the grape juice that I do.  Last year, my mom came over to my house and picked them and then took them to juice at her house. I didn't have access to a juicer so she just gave me a few bottles for giving her the grapes. Those didn't last very long at all. So you may be able to tell why I am so excited that I have done them by myself this year. : D
When I bottled my first batch of grape juice and Hans came home I asked him if he liked that I am started to be like a Susie homemaker/Martha Stewart? He was surprised I think that I was actually able to do it.

Moving AGAIN!

Just a quick note. We are going to be moving again on November 6th. I can't wait to be  able to use all of our stuff again. Don't get me wrong, it has been nice housesitting, but I am ready to be done. The apartment is going to be small, but great!  We are going to make the best of it and hopefully little or no complaining at all. I am excited to move and I tell Hans just about everyday something else that I am excited to see again. I know that I am weird, but oh well. We got a 2 bedroom one bath apartment at about 3900 S and 500 East. It is called Mallard Crossing Apartments. It is about a thousand square feet and seems to have a lot of storage.  However storage is still is the one thing that I am worried about... not having enough space for our stuff. To make it seem more real I am just planning that there won't be so I will be surprised if there is and not let down if there isn't. I have been telling Hans that we are still going to need a storage unit, but he doesn't think that we will...he also hasn't even seen the place. Oh well, I told him no complaining, because he didn't and doesn't have anytime to help me look. I don't think that he will complain either. Hans is good with things like that. Besides I have found the first two places that we lived in and Hans' mom told us about this place that we are living in now. Something has got to give when we have been living in two different houses for the last two and a half years, right?

Anyway, I will be posting pictures later after we move, but until then. Ta ta!

Another Day as a Mother!

This was one that I forgot to post. Sorry....

Yesterday I took Arlee to the doctors after she had a tempature of 102.5! YIKES.  Turns out that she has redness in her ear and it looks like she was getting an ear infection.  They are also doing a urine test to see if she has a bladder infection.  On Sunday, (the day before and Mother's Day) she would hold herself when she was going to the bathroom.  I thought this was a little weird that she was doing this already at 13 months old.  I didn't notice that she was warm that day, but after telling my mom that she had a temperature. She told me that she seemed to be a little warm, but she thought it was just because she was cold.  I talked to Hans when he got home from school and he thought that I should take her in to get checked for a UTI.
So I took her in and they found the redness in the ear and are doing a culture on her urine to see if she does have the UTI.  I will not be able to find out until tomorrow if she has it of not.  However, the medicine that they gave her for her ear will cure both. The reason that we are waiting for results on the UTI is to see if they are going to have to do x-rays to see if everything is working how it should. If it isn't then they will have to do some other things to fix it so she doesn't keep getting UTIs.
Like I mentioned before we don't know about the UTI until tomorrow. I will be posting updates when I find out.
